"question": "Why do you want to join Figma?",
"answer": "Figma's AI Platform role sits precisely at the intersection where I've spent the last several years: building the infrastructure that other product teams ship on top of, not just the features end users see. At Intuit, I owned the developer platform layer \u2014 SDK starter kits, the ICE self-service infrastructure, and the telemetry systems that let 675M+ annual engagements scale to 50K TPS \u2014 and I learned that the highest-leverage PM work is often invisible to end users but foundational to every team above it. That's exactly what the AI Platform role at Figma is.\n\nThe four platform areas in the JD map directly to work I've done hands-on: I built aeval, a local-first model evaluation platform with bootstrap confidence intervals, Welch's t-test, and automated safety gates \u2014 directly analogous to Figma's evals and continuous quality pillar. I built the OpenClaw multi-agent orchestration framework with gateway protocol and subagent delegation, and integrated MCP SDK into StreamIO's production desktop app \u2014 relevant to the agent infrastructure and AI services pillars. And my RL Workbench benchmarks GRPO/DPO across TRL, VeRL, OpenRLHF, and NeMo RL, which reflects the kind of build-vs-buy framework evaluation Figma needs as it integrates frontier models.\n\nWhat draws me specifically to Figma is that Make and the Figma agent are genuinely hard problems: code generation that works with real production codebases, context platforms that personalize to enterprise design systems without eroding trust, and eval infrastructure that drives week-over-week quality improvement across an entire AI suite. These are the kinds of platform bets where systems thinking and hands-on technical fluency matter as much as product instinct, and that combination is where I do my best work."

"question": "Additional Information",
"answer": "I have a personal website at felixamoruwa.info with project write-ups on the RL Workbench, aeval, OpenClaw, and StreamIO. I also teach cloud computing, data analytics, and Java programming as adjunct faculty at De Anza College, which has sharpened my ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured explanations \u2014 a skill I apply directly when writing PRDs and driving architecture decisions with engineering leads."
