Why Anthropic?
Anthropic is the one place where the internal product challenge I want to work on — embedding Claude deeply into how a complex, fast-scaling organization actually operates — is also the most strategically important thing the company can demonstrate to the world. The Business Technology PM role sits at exactly that intersection: owning Claude-powered internal products for Legal, Finance, GTM, and Security, and proving measurable adoption and business impact rather than just shipping features. That framing matches how I think about product work.

My background maps directly to what this role requires. At Intuit I owned the ICE developer platform end-to-end — reducing onboarding from weeks to minutes, scaling throughput from 6K to 50K TPS, and reaching 675M+ engagements in FY23 — while partnering with Security, IT Engineering, and Finance on governance and compliance. I know what it takes to get internal platform products adopted across a large, skeptical organization, and I know that change management is as much the product as the software itself.

On the AI side, I have built with Claude's API directly: StreamIO uses the MCP SDK for real-time screen analysis, and Fintellect's RAG pipeline orchestrates Claude alongside GPT-4 and Gemini with fallback routing and structured output validation. My RL post-training workbench benchmarks GRPO and DPO across TRL, VeRL, OpenRLHF, and NeMo RL — so I can engage with Anthropic's research team on capability tradeoffs, not just consume the API. The Stainless acquisition and the Agents for Financial Services push signal that Anthropic is building serious developer and enterprise infrastructure; I want to be part of making that infrastructure work internally first, where the feedback loop is tightest and the stakes for getting it right are highest.
Additional Information
A few details that may be useful context: I am an adjunct faculty member at De Anza College teaching Java, cloud computing, data analytics, and ethical hacking — which keeps my technical fundamentals sharp and informs how I write requirements that engineers can act on without rework. I hold an FAA Private Pilot License and Commercial Drone License. I have a NeurIPS 2014 publication on neural networks for protein structure prediction, which gives me a research foundation for engaging with Anthropic's alignment and capability work at a peer level. I am also completing O'Reilly textbooks on Data Analytics and Managing Cloud Projects (forthcoming Summer 2026)."
