Cover letter
Dear Anthropic Hiring Team,
Anthropic's mission — building AI systems that are reliable, interpretable, and steerable — is not an abstraction to me. It is the organizing principle behind every technical product decision I have made over the past several years, from architecting multi-agent orchestration frameworks to benchmarking RL post-training algorithms across TRL, VeRL, OpenRLHF, and NeMo RL. When I read about Claude's expanding role inside enterprise functions at KPMG, PwC, and Goldman Sachs, I see the same product challenge I navigated at Intuit: turning a powerful platform into something internal teams actually adopt, measure, and depend on. That convergence is why I am applying for the Product Manager, Business Technology role.

**Technical and AI Foundation**
My technical credibility with Claude-class systems is hands-on. At Streamio AI, I built a production desktop application that uses Claude via the MCP SDK to deliver real-time contextual analysis of screen captures — including Pine Script generation and automated real estate CMA reports via Redfin and Zillow APIs. I also designed and implemented OpenClaw, a multi-agent orchestration framework with a gateway protocol, subagent delegation, profile management, and session switching across real estate, insurance, health, and financial services workflows. This is not prototype work; it runs on signed macOS and Linux builds with Kinde OAuth 2.0, Stripe subscriptions, and ElevenLabs TTS/STT integration.
On the evaluation and post-training side, I built a 3-phase RL post-training workbench covering the full RLHF/DPO pipeline — Reward Lab for designing and A/B testing reward functions across GSM8K, MATH, HumanEval, and UltraFeedback; a Playground for real TRL-powered GRPO/DPO training with live SSE metric streaming on Apple Silicon and CUDA; and an Arena for head-to-head framework benchmarking (TRL, VeRL, OpenRLHF, NeMo RL) with GPU passthrough in Docker containers. I implemented 12 RL algorithms with standardized throughput, memory, and convergence benchmarking. I also built aeval, a local-first model evaluation platform with bootstrap confidence intervals, Welch's t-test, Cohen's d effect size, and CI/CD regression detection — a stack running FastAPI, TimescaleDB, Redis, and Ollama. My NeurIPS 2014 publication on neural networks for protein structure prediction, and the 2026 rewrite of that system from 413 to 8 billion parameters, establish a research foundation that lets me engage peer-to-peer with Anthropic's technical teams.

**Why This Role**
The Business Technology PM role sits at the intersection of two things I have done repeatedly: shipping internal developer and automation platforms that change measurable outcomes, and staying close enough to the underlying AI systems to make sound scoping and sequencing calls without needing an engineer to translate. That combination is exactly what this role requires.
What specifically draws me to this position is the mandate to embed with Legal, IT, GTM, Finance, and Security — and to own outcomes, not features. Anthropic's enterprise trajectory (KPMG at 276,000 seats, PwC, the new institutional AI services company with Blackstone and Goldman) means internal Claude usage will scale in complexity faster than any single team can anticipate. The PM who succeeds here will need to treat change management as part of the product, define success metrics before work starts, and kill what isn't earning its keep. That is a discipline I built at Intuit, and it is the lens I bring to this role.

**Selected Prior Experience**
- **ICE Self-Service Platform (Intuit):** Delivered DevPortal, GitOps configuration, and ICE Playground, reducing developer onboarding from 2–3 weeks to minutes in pre-production and under 24 hours for production, while mitigating $1M+ in projected opex growth — a direct analog to shipping internal Claude-powered tooling that internal teams actually adopt.
- **ICE Scale (Intuit):** Achieved 275% YoY growth in ICE engagements, scaling to 675M+ in FY23 across QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mint, Mailchimp, and Credit Karma; scaled throughput from 6K to 50K TPS via rSocket migration supporting approximately 1.5M concurrent connections with sub-25ms TP99 latency.
- **Java and Python SDK Starter Kits (Intuit):** Extended SDK scaffolding templates, build configurations (Gradle/Maven), testing frameworks, and CI/CD integration — enabling developers to go from zero to production-ready microservice in minutes. Directly relevant to Anthropic's Stainless acquisition and developer platform direction.
- **ICE Presence in Async Chat (Intuit):** Implemented a Claude-adjacent pattern — embedding a platform capability inside an existing workflow — generating $480K/month in additional invoicing, demonstrating that internal platform work can produce measurable business impact.
- **Enterprise-Wide Service Language Assessment (Intuit):** Conducted analysis across 9 languages for ~20 mobile apps and 30+ product SKUs using SQL and BigQuery; findings presented to the CTO. Demonstrates the cross-functional stakeholder translation this role requires.
- **MSaaS Drift Detection and Resolution (Intuit):** Wrote a Java JAR library to scan Git repos for configuration drift, partnered with Design on DevPortal UI, and built a remediation roadmap using OpenRewrite — an example of owning a governance and maintainability problem end-to-end, relevant to Anthropic's internal policy and security requirements.
- **OpenClaw Multi-Agent Orchestration (Streamio AI):** Designed and shipped a production multi-agent framework with gateway protocol, subagent delegation, and session management across multiple industry verticals — directly applicable to Anthropic's agentic product direction and the internal automation surfaces this role will own.
- **Splunk Scheduler Service:** Delivered end-to-end in approximately four months (June–October 2019), enabling scheduled search capabilities for first-party applications and demoed at Splunk .conf19 — evidence of the iterative, time-bounded shipping cadence this role demands.

**Closing**
Anthropic's commitment to building AI that is safe and beneficial — and its explicit choice to remain ad-free, anchoring trust as the core monetization principle — reflects the kind of long-term product thinking I want to contribute to. The Business Technology PM role is a place where that mission becomes operational: every internal team that adopts Claude more effectively, every friction point removed from Legal or Finance or Security, compounds Anthropic's ability to move faster and more safely at the same time. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my background maps to the specific challenges your internal teams are navigating.
Thank you for your consideration.
